Short version: PassLane does not collect, sell, or share your personal information, and there are no accounts or trackers. Your study data stays on your device. Voice answering, if you use it, uses your phone’s built-in speech recognition — see “Audio & microphone” below.
None. PassLane has no user accounts, no login, and no sign-up. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any personal data, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Your study progress, streak, flagged questions, settings, and your acceptance of the Terms are saved locally on your device only (in your browser/app storage). This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes it.
If you tap “Suggest a question or improvement” and send a message, that opens your own email app so you can email your suggestion to us. We receive only what you choose to write and the email address you send it from. Sending a suggestion is entirely optional.
PassLane reads questions and answers aloud using pre-recorded audio bundled in the app. The optional voice-answer feature, where available, lets you say your answer out loud (A, B, C, or D) instead of tapping. It works through your device’s built-in speech recognition from Apple or Google, so your spoken audio is sent to that provider to be converted into text — the same way dictation works elsewhere on your phone. PassLane does not record, store, or keep any audio of its own, and your voice recordings are never sent to us. Speaking is always optional: you can use every part of the app by tapping.
PassLane is intended for adults preparing for professional licensing exams and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
The app is delivered over standard web hosting, which may process basic technical request data (such as your IP address) solely to serve the app, as is standard for any website. We do not sell or share any information with third parties for marketing.
